What to Wear...

At the Airport
Sitting in one place for several hours means staying away from stilettos and movement restricting clothing. Opt for something easy to wear and gets you through security without looking like you rolled out of bed.
Look One: Jeggings
Swarovski Crystal Earrings (Neiman Marcus)
Jeggings have a bad reputation, but they are the fashionable alternative to sweatpants! Wear the right one, and no one will be able to tell you feel like you're in pajamas.
Perforated Oxfords (Fendi)
Skinny Jean in Jersey (7 For All Mankind)

Braided Tote (Stella McCartney)

Balloon-Sleeve Tie-Neck Top (DVF)

Look Two: The Maxidress
Mischa Maxi Dress (CALYPSO St. Barth)
Wear a dress you can sleep in but still feel like ultra chic boarding the plane. A nice jacket will keep you warm but can be used as a blanket in a pinch!
"Desert Stone" Cluster Earrings (Kate Spade)

Sequined Loafer (Marc Jacobs)

Cobble Hill Andee (Kate Spade)
Tube Scarf (H&M)
Faded Floral Cropped Jacket (Paul Smith)

Tell me what you think! Would you wear these outfits or use them as inspiration?

Irene

Chambray

I have noticed that chambray has become quite popular lately. For me, it is definitely one of my go to pieces if I am leaving the house to meet up with friends for coffee or just running errands. Its basic material and style allow it to go with practically everything.

The light tones and thin material of the top and the skirt are practical for the summer months. The chiffon material of the skirt is a breathable material for the dreaded summer heat and gives an illusion of elongated legs. The use of black and metallic accents are used throughout the outfit with the clutch, the flats, and the jewelry. It is important to be consistent with the metals. The mixing of, for example, steel and bronze becomes messy. There is a fine line between grungy and tacky . If you plan on buttoning the chambray top, tuck the necklace underneath the collar, if not, having the necklace just lay on th collar bone overpowers the collar detail. Finally, the flats give that effortless look and are not too formal for a lunch date with the girl friends.

Sparkle and Fade Nude Maxi Pleated Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Black Triple Wrap Belt - Free People
Black Clutch - Nasty Gal
Geometric Necklace (House of Harlow Necklace) - Polyvore

Hello Darlings,

I want to apologize for the street style picture delay. The weather is absolute crap right now. Also, I believe Irene is in Bangladesh for a few weeks, so its just going to be me writing to you.

Hello lovelies,

Sadly, the entire Hong Kong has been under typhoon warning for the past few days and its currently up to typhoon warning 3. This means everyone is racing out of the streets and to their homes then racing to their closets and into the streets. These street style pictures will have to wait until this downpour subsides.
So sorry about this!

Greetings from Hong Kong!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I have a bit of good news and bad news. Bad news: Irene and I are currently on opposite ends of the world. Good news: I am surrounded by wonderful clothes and style just about everywhere I go. I just wanted to let you guys know that street style photos will be uploaded soon. And in case anyone is interested in any particular piece of clothing found in the pictures, I will be writing up pieces that match the ones on the photos and where to find them.
